The Elorde brothers, Juan Martin and Juan Miguel, grandsons of Hall of Fame champion, the late great Gabriel ?Flash? Elorde battle Indonesian opponents in a fight card of Johnny Elorde Management International at the Flash Elorde Sports Complex on Sucat, Paranaque on August 23.

The main event on the ?Boxing Kontra Droga? of the Rotary Club of Manila District 101 will feature veteran Dennis Laurente defending his WBC Asian Boxing Council junior middleweight championship against Indonesia?s Elly Pangaribuan.

The hard-hitting, 37 year old southpaw Laurente has a record of 47-5-5 with 28 knockouts. However, just like the opponents of the Elorde brothers there are differences in the fight record of Pangaribuan with boxrec.com which is not always accurate listing his record as 3-3 with 1 knockout while the Indonesian manager Eric Pirih, son of the late respected promoter Eddie Pirih claimed Pangaribuan has a record of 26-6-2 with no indication of the number of knockouts.

It?s the same with super featherweight Juan Martin ?Bai? Elorde the 29 year old southpaw with a record of 15-1-1 with 7 knockouts who won the WBO Asia Pacific title with a ten round unanimous decision over Maxsaisai Sithsaithong at the Midas Hotel on March 25, 2013 and is ranked No. 4 by ABCO.

In his last fight on February 1 this year ?Bai? Elorde suffered a nasty gash over right eyelid in a clash with Chaiyong Sithsaithong of Thailand and had to settle for a 2nd round technical decision.

Elorde?s opponent Juniston Simbolon?s record on boxrec.com is 7-11-1 with 3 knockouts but his manager informed the promoter Johnny Elorde that Simbolon?s record stands at 17-7-1.
27 year old super bantamweight Juan Miguel Elorde who has a record of 15-1 with 7 knockouts is scheduled to take on another Indonesian, Paulus Baransona whose record on boxrec.com is 0-3 while Eric Pirih of Surabaya claimed Baransona has a record of 6 wins as against 2 losses.

This is the same problem that faced promoter Gerry Penalosa in his fight card at the Mandaluyong City Gym featuring the Penalosa brothers Dodie Boy Jr and Dave, sons of former two division champion Dodie Boy Penalosa.

Dodie Boy Jr?s original opponent Yon Armed pulled out due to illness and he was replaced by Dicky Amtiran who, according to boxrec.com had a record of 3-8 with no knockouts but an Indonesian Internet site claimed the 29 year old Amtiran had a record of 9-3 with 8 knockouts which was not borne out by his disappointing performance as he was knocked out in the 3rd round after being dropped once in the opening round and one more time in the third.
