Penalosa Jr.
The Indonesian opponent of undefeated super bantamweight Dodie Boy Penalosa Jr has fallen ill and has had to be replaced for Saturday?s ten round main event at the Mandaluyong City Gym.
Yon Armed has been replaced by Dicky Amtiran but there were conflicting reports on his ring record.

Boxrec whish is not known for its accuracy said that Amtiran had 8 losses and only 3 wins in his career but and Indonesian boxing site said Amtiran had 9 wins with 8 of those wins coming byway of knockouts but lost 3.

The site reported that two of Amtiran?s losses were by knockout and one loss was by a close decision although he won the vacant Indonesian Boxing Association super flyweight title with a majority decision over Willem Marahina on September 18, 2011.
Promoter and former two division world champion Gerry Penalosa told the Manila Standard/Viva Sports that he was informed that Amtiran was the only available replacement for Armed and that he would give Dodie Boy Jr a good fight.

Dodie Boy Penalosa has a record of 12-0 with 11 knockouts while younger brother Dave who has a record of 8-0 with 5 knockouts will face tough Danilo Gabisay who has been training in Baguio City in preparation for his fight on Saturday.

Indications are that the clash between featherweights Bernabe ?The Real Deal? Concepcion, a former two-time world title challenger and southpaw Eden ?Mr. Showboat? Sonsona who was a former world rated fighter.

The fights will be telecast by Viva Sports over PBO-Sky Cable qt 8:30 pm. on Saturday August 2 and 9 with replays on Sunday August 3 and 10 at 10:30 a.m,

Viva Sports will telecast a pre-fight special this Saturday highlighted by a torrid sparring session between Dodie Boy Penalosa and Bernabe Concepcion plus highlights of some of the fights of both Concepcion and Sonsona and the sparring between Dave Penalosa and Ronald Postrano.
