Unbeaten 20-year-old knock out specialist Harmonito Dela Torre (R) of Gensan will go for the 9th knock out of his young career when he battles fearless Rey Liparanon in a non-title clash this Wednesday (July 2) at Bula Gym in Gensan, Philippines.
The clash is one of the scheduled bouts of the attractive 7-fight card that no boxing fan in Gensan should miss!
Last May, Dela Torre (13-0, 8 KO's) defeated Gadwin Tubigon of Dipolog by to capture the vacant WBF International 122-lbs belt and the young prot?g? of manager Mananquil and coach Gabawa -- who has fought twice in high-profile Top Rank cards -- wants more wins.
The card's main event will feature undefeated 20-year-old John Vincent Moralde (9-0, 5 KO's) of Davao City squaring off local Gensan warrior Ronerex Dalut, 25, for the vacant Philippines Boxing Federation (PBF) super bantamweight belt. The Moralde-Dalut is a 10-rounder skirmish that promises non-stop action.
Also, in a special bout ahead of the American Independence Day, American Danny McDermott of Jersey City, New Jersey, USA, will battle Filipino 41-fight veteran Jesar Ancajas of Korondal City in a non-title war in the welterweight division.
It's the first time in his 16 pro fights that "The Little Mac" McDermott battles outside the United States.
For that, Mcdermott has flown all the way from New Jersey and is already in Gensan, Philippines, awaiting to engage the journeyman Ancajas who wants to receive the visiting American with his a good dose of Filipino knuckles.
Ancajas is slightly younger than Mcdermott, has more experience and more fights than him and Ancajas is in his backyard. The night could be long for the American.
Four more pro bouts complete the exciting, competitive card this Wednesday night (July 2) in Gensan.
The event is organized and produced by active promoters Jim Claude Manangquil of JM Boxing and Dexter T. Tan, head of Sanman Promotions.
