Watch four division world champion Nonito ?The Filipino Flash? in his rigorous training regimen for his title fight against WBA featherweight champion Simpiwe Vetyeka of South Africa at the plush Cotai Arena of the magnificent Venetian Resort Hotel & Casino in Macau on May 31.
The Viva Sports one hour special includes exclusive footage of Donaire?s sparring with former WBC super bantamweight Silver champion Sylvester Lopez, the demanding plyometrics workout under the watchful eye of American strength and conditioning coach Nick Curson as well as interviews with Donaire, his father/trainer ?Dodong? Donaire Sr, sparring partner Lopez as well as Curson.
The special will also include highlights of Donaire?s career in 2012-2013 and his remarks at the press conference hosted by Top Rank, the Venetian and the giant broadcast network ABS-CBN.
There are also glimpses of Donaire?s training at the famed ALA Gym in Cebu and his sparring with undefeated Cuban Reman Castellane Aleye, the former amateur who had fought Guillermo Rigondeaux during his amateur days and lost to the two-time Olympic champion.
Team Donaire leaves for Macau on Saturday but Curson will not make the trip since he is still recovering from a virus infection. But he said it's no problem since Donaire who looked great in nine rounds of sparring at high noon on Friday is in fine condition and he knows what he needs to do.
Donaire posted photos on twitter showing Voluntary Anti Doping Agency testing today. One of the first advocates of year round random drug tests Donaire revealed "VADA was at my door in Manila at 7am to take a random urine and blood sample.
Pinoy Box Office - PBO - is telecast on SkyCable Channel 60 in Metro Manila.
