
DONAIRE TEASER ON PBO OVER SKYCABLE AT 8:30 P.M. ON SATURDAY

Boxing fans looking forward to 2012 ?Fighter of the Year? Nonito ?The Filipino Flash? Donaire?s quest for a fifth world title will get a brief glimpse into his rigorous training program for his battle with WBA featherweight champion Simpiwe Vetyeka in Macau on May 31 on Viva Sports ?The Main Event? telecast Saturday at 8:30 p.m. on Pinoy Box Office (PBO) over SkyCable with a replay on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
Aside from interviews with strength and conditioning coach Nick Curson who did a masterful job in preparing WBO light flyweight champion Donnie Nietes for his spectacular 9th round TKO of Mexico?s Moises Fuentes, Donaire himself and his father/trainer ?Dodong? Donaire Sr, the program will also include interviews with Nietes, Milan Melindo, Rey ?Boom Boom? Bautista and trainer Edmund Villamor.
World rated flyweight Froilan ?The Sniper? Saludar who battles former Olympian McWilliams Arroyo in Puerto Rico shows off his skills in sparring against southpaw Noli Morales while former WBO super flyweight champion ?Marvelous? Marvin Sonsona engages WBA No. 7 ranked Padjai Yongyuthgym in some torrid exchanges in sparring at the gym of Dr. Rajan Yraola in Quezon City.
Sonsona faces former WBO super bantamweight champion Wilfredo Vazquez Jr in a rematch on the Sergio ?Maravilla? Martinez-Miguel Cotto title fight at Madison Square Garden on June 7.
?The Main Event? will also feature one round of furious exchanges between hard-hitting southpaw Michael Farenas and promising newcomer Al Rivera of Samar plus an interview with former world two division champion Gerry Penalosa whose prot?g? faces unbeaten American Mike Davis for the No. 2 IBF featherweight spot on July 2 at the Foxwoods Resort in Connecticut.
In the next two weekends ?The Main Event? will present riveting insights into the incredible training regimen of Donaire which will include never before see plyometric routines, ripping work on the punch-mitts with trainer ?Dodong? Donaire and exclusive sparring footage of Donaire and undefeated Cuban Reyme Aleye in Cebu and former WBC super bantamweight Silver Champion Sylvester Lopez at the Elorde Gym with assessments of Donaire by both sparring partners plus updated interviews with Curson and trainer ?Dodong? Donaire.
The shows will also feature fights of Vetyeka in order to give boxing fans a chance to assess the chances of Donaire against the awkward, tough South African.
