Tibay ng Pinoy 3 at USEP gym May 3

DAVAO CITY -- Former Luzproba champion and be-medaled amateur boxer Jerwin ?The Pretty Boy? Ancajas of Davao City takes on Petchwanchia Sor Visetkit of Bangkok, Thailand for the vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) Pan Pacific bantamweight title in the main event of the ?Tibay ng Pinoy 3? slated tonight 6 p.m. (May 3) at the USEP Gym here.

The 12-round championship fight is co-presented by the MP Promotions USA LLC and GMA 7 and promoted by the Joven Sports Promotion in association with the Mitsubishi Superstores (Southeast Mitsubishi), Cerritos Mitsubishi, Hurlington Beach Mitsubishi and Victorville Mitsubishi. It is sponsored by The Royal Mandaya Hotel, City Government of Davao and Rep. Manny Pacquiao of Saranggani Province.

?Admission to this boxing card is again free to public,? said MP Promotions? representative Joe Ramos, who met the press together with MP Boxing Gym main trainer Raides ?Nonoy? Neri, promoter Joven Jimenez and international judge Tawat Rungsiyarom of Thailand.

?Manunuod din si Boss Manny sa laban,? said Neri, also assistant trainer of the newly-crowned WBO welterweight king Pacquiao.
The 22-year Ancajas, who has a record of 19 wins with 10 Kos and only one loss and one draw, said that he will do his best to win.
?Gagawin ko lang po ang lahat upang manalo,? said Ancajas, who has scored six straight wins after his first and only loss by a majority decision to Mark Anthony Geraldo for the WBO Asia Pacific Youth flyweight title-fight in 2012.

Ancajas previously knocked out in the second round Inthanon Sithchamuang in Cotai Arena, Venetian Resort in Macau last February 22, 2014.

Ancajas KO?d Ryan Bongcawil also in the 2nd round during the ?Tibay ng Pinoy 1? held in Lagao Gym last December 14, 2013.
Ancajas? other victims were John Paul Bautista (3rd rnd. RTD), Miguel Tamayo (10th round, TKO), Xu Runlong (4th rnd. TKO) and Armando Casa (4th rnd. TKO).

Visetkit, on the other hand, is toting a record of 20 wins, 6 KOs and 6 losses. The 26-year old Thai fighter has won all his last four fights.

According to the Thai judge, Visetkit wants to knockout Ancajas in the second round already.

The 5-foot-5 southpaw stopped Zhongyong Xu in Thailand last October 25 then knocked out in the 5th round Mongkol Patanakan Gym in Bangkok last December 27. He later outpointed Norasing Patanakan Gym last January 31 before winning by a unanimous decision over Falazona Fidal in his previous fight last March 4.
Pitted in the main supporting bout is the 10-rounder (122 lbs.) between Aston ?Deigo Corales? Palicte also of MP Promotions and Jobel Villegas of Elorde Stable-Paranaque City. Palicte has a 13W, 1L, 9KO record against Villegas? 9W,8L,1D,3KO card.
Undefeated MP fighter Jonel ?The Kid? Dapidran (3W-1KO) will take on Japanese Yoshinobo Arai (3W,2l) of Tokyo, Japan in a 6-rounder 136 lbs. bout.

Six other boxers from MP Promotions are also seeing action in the undercard.

Romeo Jakusalem of Davao vs. Elmer Legaria of Glan (8 rds.-141 lbs.), Jay-Ar Inson versus Abduldiu Harada of Tagbilaran, Bohol (6 rds.-135 lbs.), Marvilou ?The King? Aballe vs. Ronald Garcia of Placido Stable-Koronadal City (6 rds.-118 lbs.), John Philip Fuentes vs. Kim Dangan of Palafox Stable-Iligan (6 rds.-105 lbs.), Genesis Libranza vs. Paolo Perono of Glan (6 rds.-109 lbs.), Dandey de Claro vs. Dingdong Quinones of Glan (6 rds.-118 lbs).

The other pair pits Orly Silvestre of Glan vs. Jaysever Absede of Lalanto Stable-Valencia (6 rds.-105 lbs.). ? LITO DELOS REYES
