Undefeated super bantamweight prospect Genesis ?Azukal? Servania and former WBO/WBA flyweight challenger Milan Melindo are back in San Diego, California after one week of training which included sparring with top young Mexican fighters in Tijuana, Mexico.

ALA Boxing Gym head trainer Edito ?Ala? Villamor told the Manila Standard ?it was a great work experience and exposure where they saw how the Mexican fighters trained.?

Villamor said they visited the Chetos boxing gym, Gimnasio Ulloa, the gym of Mexican legend Erik ?El Terrible? Morales and that of Antonio Margarito.

Servania and Melindo also went jogging up the highest mountains in Tijuana including cero Colarado hill along with bantamweight Hanzel ?Rude Boy? Martinez with whom Servania and Melindo sparred.

The 22 year old Martinez has a record of 20-1 with 16 knockouts with his only loss being to Alejandro Gonzalez in a WBC Youth Silver Title on February 16, 2013.

Servania also had what Villamor described as ?a good workout? when he sparred with super bantamweight Edivaldo ?Indio? Ortega who has a record of 17-0-1 with 9 knockouts and Jose Cayetano who sports a record of 16-2 with 8 knockouts also having dropped ten round unanimous decision to the tough Gonzalez Jr on August 3, 2013.

He said he was focused on Servania?s training since he has an upcoming fight and didn?t get the name of Melindo?s sparring partner but added, ?it was also a good workout because Tijuana boxers are quality sparring partners and are truly warriors.?

Villamor told the Standard ?so far, so good. It was a great workout for Servania and Melindo? who will continue training in San Diego up to February 7 before they return to Cebu for their final training camp.
