The wife of WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko wants him to retire.

Natalia Klitschko told the Hamburg Morgenpost newspaper ?he must make that decision alone but Vitali has achieved everything in his career, right at the top so I?d find it nice if he stopped.?

The 42 year old Klitschko?s younger brother Wladimir is the WBA,IBF,WBO and IBO heavyweight champion and between the two brothers who are based in Hamburg hold all the major heavyweight titles.

Vitali Klitschko was battering Britain?s Lennox Lewis before a nasty gash cost him a fight he appeared to be winning easily more than a decade ago.

He has a record of 45-2 with 41 knockouts. Vitali beat Manuel Charr of Germany in his last bout in September 2012 while a hand injury forced him to call off a fight against Canadian challenger Bermane Stiverne last August.

Klitschko has announced plans to run for president of Ukraine in 2015.
