Strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza who was fired by trainer Freddie Roach and moved over to the training camp of Brandon ?Bam Bam? Rios from that of Manny Pacquiao, says that Rios is ?doing very, very well? in preparation for his showdown with Pacquiao in Macau on November 24.

Ariza spoke to the Manila Standard a few minutes before boarding a plane for Macau along with Rios and trainer Robert Garcia among others.

While he had no ill-will or critical words about Pacquiao, Ariza said the advantage of Rios, newly crowned WBO super featherweight champion Mikey Garcia and Marcus Maidana is ?they are young and their approach to training is different. It?s a different work ethic? compared to older fighters.

He said ?they don?t have any problem getting up early and doing the work.?

Ariza indicated the environment in the Oxnard Gym was conducive and there were ?no egos.?

He said Mikey, Brandon, Maidana and he live together and ?work real well together. They train hard and are trying to help each other.?

The strength and conditioning coach told us ?it also helps that we live together, eat together and train together.?
