Edison Berwela has lost by a 6th round TKO to Tabtimdaengn Na Rachawat in a Pan Asian Boxing Association bantamweight title mismatch in Nonthaburi, Thailand.

The 30 year old Thai who lost the title by a 6th round TKO to Roli Gasca of the famed ALA Gym on November 12, 2010 and regained the interim title with a twelve round unanimous decision over Indonesia?s Hendrik Barongsay on March 22, 2011, improved his record to 50-2 with 33 knockouts.

Berwela who was not even ranked in the last GAB Ratings dropped to a miserable 12-27-6 with 3 knockouts, once again raising the question of how such a mismatch could be sanctioned by the GAB.

Over at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Filipino bantamweight Jecker Buhawe lost by a 6th round TKO to former WBC super flyweight challenger Ryo Akaho and current world rated No. 6 who was coming off a 4th round knockout of another Filipino Elmar Francisco last June 1.

The world-rated Japanese nailed Francisco with solid shots in every round until he decked Francisco for the full count at 0:44 seconds of the round.

The talented Akaho dropped a twelve round unanimous decision to WBC super flyweight champion Yota Sato last December 31, 2012.

With the win the 27 year old Akaho improved to 21-1-2 with 14 knockouts while the 23 year old Buhawe who was ranked No.14 in the last August rankings of the Philippine Games and Amusements Board dropped to 14-10-1 with 9 knockouts.
