Weeks.
Internationally respected referee Tony Weeks will referee the first WBO light welterweight title defense of Mike ?Mile High? Alvarado against No.1 ranked Russian Ruslan Provodnikov, a former sparring partner of ?Fighter of the Decade? Manny Pacquiao.

The fight will take place at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Denver, Colorado.

World Boxing Organization (WBO), president Francisco ?Paco? Valcarcel, announced the officials for the fight from the organization?s headquarters in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The judges for the fight are Denny Nelson, Robert Hoyle and Levi Martinez all from the United States.

Alvarado won the title by a twelve round unanimous decision over Brandon ?Bam Bam? Rios who faces Pacquiao for the WBO International welterweight title in Macau on November 24 while Provodnikov is coming off a hellacious fight with undefeated WBO welterweight champion Timothy ?Desert Storm? Bradley.

Alvarado has a record of 34-1, with 23 knockouts while Provodnikov has a record of 22-2 with 15 knockouts.

In the absence of trainer Freddie Roach who is in General Santos City in the Philippines training Pacquiao, Roach?s young Filipino assistant Marvin Somodio will take his place.

The WBO supervisor for this bout which is promoted by Top Rank will be John Duggan.

The fight will be telecast in the Philippines over ABS-CBN?s Studio 23.
