The long-serving resident of the World Boxing Council, Don Jose Sulaiman is to undergo a heart bypass at the UCLA Medical Center shortly.

Sulaiman revealed that two of his arteries are eight percent clogged and he needs to undergo a bypass so he could feel better.
The WBC president who may be forced to miss the 51st Convention of the premier professional boxing organization in the world in Bangkok, Thailand in the first week of November expressed confidence that everything will go well both in terms of his surgery and the convention.

The 82 year old Sulaiman checked in at the Beverly Hills Peninsula Hotel with his son and WBC executive director Mauricio Sulaiman, daughter Lucy and two of his 14 grandchildren all of whom he expects to be with him before he undergoes surgery.

Don Jose said that ?The best medicine for these kind of things is family and of course, always trust in God.?

Sulaiman said ?I know that everything will be fine. I have my loved ones close and that helps me a lot.?

Viva Sports, philboxing.com and the Manila Standard sends our best wishes to Don Jose for a successful operation and a speedy and full recovery as well as all God?s blessings.
