2012 ?Trainer of the Year? Robert Garcia says that after two days of workouts at his Oxnard Gym in California, Nonito ?The Filipino Flash? Donaire is ?looking very good.?

Garcia who was watching a tape of Donaire?s 5th round knockout of Vic Darchinyan on July 7, 2007 along with Nonito when we contacted him, told the Manila Standard that Donaire was ?very fast, very powerful.?

He said that while Donaire ?needs some conditioning, it's not there yet, even the footwork is there.?

Garcia said everybody in his training camp which includes younger brother Mikey Garcia who relinquished his WBO featherweight title to move up in weight and go after the junior lightweight title held by champion Ramon Vazquez in Corpus Christi, Texas on November 9 in a card that will feature Donaire in a rematch with Darchinyan over ten rounds and Brandon ?Bam Bam? Rios who battles ?Fighter of the Decade? Manny Pacquiao in Macau on November 24, are all ?looking very good.?

The former world champion told us ?everybody is coming on well and we are looking forward to a great month of November.?

Garcia said Rios ?is training like never before? even as he praised Pacquiao?s former strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza, who was fired by trainer Freddie Roach, for the work he was doing with Rios and Garcia.

The trainer indicated that Rios and Gracia were doing everything that Ariza asked them to do including swimming at 5 o?clock in the morning. He said ?Ariza is a help. They do everything he asks them to do in the morning. They are very good exercises and he (Ariza) is dong a great job.?

Garcia however emphasized that ?when they are in the gym in the afternoon he doesn?t get involved.
