Miguel Cotto has praised the training chemistry he's blended with celebrated trainer Freddie Roach as a potent formula for his upcoming fight against Delvin Rodriguez.
The 32 year old Cotto who has a record of 37-4 with 30 knockouts, has been training for six weeks at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles for his return to the ring against 33 year old Delvin Rodriguez of the Dominican Republic who fights out of Danbury, Connecticut and had a record of 28-6-3 with 16 knockouts.
Cotto, who suffered back-to-back twelve round unanimous decision losses to Austin Trout on December 1, 2012 in a WBA light middleweight title fight and Floyd Mayweather Jr in a clash for the WBC Diamond belt on May 5. 2012, decided to move his training camp to the US west coast where, the WBC reported he ?sought out the alchemy of Freddie Roach to produce a catalyst.?
The WBC quoted an enthusiastic Cotto who said ?Thank God we have had a great chemistry (with Roach). We have a superb communication in the ring.?
Cotto conceded that Delvin Rodriguez who won the IBF North American title with an 8th round TKO of talented Freddy Hernandez, ?is a very tough rival. It'll be a great fight! I know that he'll bring his best so it'll be a memorable contest. I?m ready to face him!?
