2012 ?Trainer of the Year? Robert Garcia will meet with former WBO/Ring Magazine super bantamweight champion Nonito ?The Filipino Flash? Donaire in Las Vegas on Friday and Saturday and work on their game-plan for the rematch with Vic Drachinyan set for November 9 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Donaire who has been jogging and doing some light training in the gym has been concentrating so far on bringing his weight down from a 145 pounds a few weeks ago.

Donaire struggled to make the super bantamweight limit in his last couple of fights and decided to move up to featherweight after his close friend and trainer Garcia?s brother Mikey Garcia relinquished his 126 pound WBO belt and moved up to junior lightweight.

Garcia himself told us recently that he was paving the way for Donaire to go for the WBO featherweight title after hopefully beating Drachinyan whom he knocked out in the 5th round to win the IBC/IBO flyweight titles on July 7, 2007.

Former champion Orlando Salido faces Orlando Cruz in a clash for the vacant title and Donaire has said he is aiming to face the winner in a title fight.

Robert Garcia said he expects Mikey to have a tough fight against WBO champion Roman ?Rocky? Martinez who he said ?is durable and throws a lot of punches and is a solid fighter.? Garcia added, ?he is bigger and very dangerous.?

He told the Standard that Mikey was ?training hard, doing good and he?ll be fine.?

The 25 year old Garcia is undefeated with a record of 32-0 with 27 knockouts. He is five years younger than the Puerto Rican, Martinez, whose record is 27-1-2 with 16 knockouts.
