?PINOY BOXING LEGENDS? ON PBO THIS EVENING

A journey into the storied history of Philippine boxing begins this evening on the Cable network 'PINOY BOX OFFICE? at 8:30 this evening with a replay at 10:30 a.m.on Sunday.

The one hour program showcases some of the country?s greatest fighters in their most memorable ring battles led by eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao, Gabriel ?Flash? Elorde, two division world champions Gerry Penalosa and Luisito Espinosa, Ben Villaflor, Donnie Nietes, Johnreil Casimero and many others as well as OPBF champions Randy Suico, Rev Santillan, Rocky Fuentes regional champions and title contenders Milan Melindo, Rey ?Boom Boom? Bautista, AJ ?Bazooka? Banal and a host of other fighters.

The fights of Pacquiao when he was a skinny 17 year old kid who electrified crowds at the Mandaluyong Gym will kick off the road down memory lane with his first big fight in Metro Manila against Dele Decierto featured tonight.

In the inaugural presentation flashes of the first Filipino world flyweight champion Pancho Villa and middleweight champion Ceferino Garcia will also be shown.

?Pinoy Boxing Legends? will also spotlight moments in the fight careers of international boxing legends beginning with the IBF world title fight between Robert Garcia, the trainer of Nonito ?The Filipino Flash? Donaire, his younger brother and world champion Mikey Garcia and Brandon ?Bam Bam? Rios, in his title defense against Diego Corrales.

Updates from the boxing scene with emphasis on Filipino fighters in action abroad will also have a segment on the show.
It is a must see for boxing aficionados with a sense of history.
