VILORIA WOULD WELCOME A REMATCH WITH ESTRADA

Former WBO/WBA flyweight champion Brian Viloria would welcome a rematch with Mexico?s Juan Francisco Estrada who won the title from him last April 6 and successfully defended it against another Filipino, Milan Melindo at the same Cotai Arena venue of the Venetian Resort Hotel in Macao last Saturday.

Viloria who just got back from a vacation with his wife Erika and visited her family in Seattle said he ?took the break before getting back? into the ring.

He said that if given a rematch against Estrada which Top Rank promoter Bob Arum told the Manila Standard is possible, Viloria said ?I will put everything into it and prove to everybody that I am the best flyweight today.?

2012 ?Trainer of the Year? Robert Garcia told us in Macau he thought Viloria ?probably fought the wrong fight against Estrada? but expressed confidence that he would win a rematch because he is the best flyweight in the world today.

Viloria said Estrada ?comes in shape but he?s beatable? and that if there is a rematch ?I know what to do.?

The two division, three-time world champion told us he had reviewed the fight tape and noted ?we've looked over some things we should have done and stuck to it.?

However, Viloria indicated that since the fight was on HBO he ?wanted to put on a great show.?

He said he?d probably be back in the ring in either October or November and was waiting for his manager Gary Gittelsohn to work things out.

The former world champion said he?s like to have a tune-up fight ?before I?m ready to go? against Estrada if it can be negotiated.
Viloria said he?s been ?working out every other day? at the Powerhouse Gym which is close to his home.

He said he watched the Estrada-Melindo fight and thought the lopsided margins of all three judges was ridiculous, pointing out that Melindo ?won at least 5 or 6 rounds and it was much closer.?
