Respected veteran referee Raul Caiz Sr has been appointed as third man in the ring to handle the WBO flyweight title fight between undefeated mandatory challenger Milan Melindo of the Philippines and WBO/WBA champion Juan Francisco Estrada of Mexico at the Cotain Arena of the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino in Macau on Saturday.

WBO president Francisco ?Paco? Valcarcel announced the appointment of Caiz Sr as referee also named Takeshi Shimakawa of Japan, Rafael Ramos from the United States and Zoltan Enyedi of Hungary as judges for the title defense of Estrada (24-2,18 KO?s) against Melindo (29-0, 12 KO?s).

Estrada won the title from Brian Viloria at the same venue last April 6.

Caiz Sr from West Covina, California has refereed no less than 28 fights this year and last year was third man in the ring when Nonito ?The Filipino Flash? Caiz Sr?s son, Raul Caiz Jr was the referee for the first title defense of WBO minimum weight champion Merlito ?Tiger? Sabillo who retained his crown with a crushing 9th round knockout of Colombia?s Jorlie Estrada at the Solaire Resort and Casino in the ?Entertainment City? along Manila Bay.
