Garcia.
?Trainer of the Year? Robert Garcia has praised Oscar De La Hoya?s Golden Boy Promotions headed by CEO Richard Schaefer for putting on a sensational fight card headlined by the Floyd Mayweather Jr ? Saul ?Canelo? Alvarez title fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on September 14.

Garcia told the Manila Standard ?I honestly take my hat off to Golden Boy Promotions for doing the Danny Garcia-Lucas Mathysse fight on the undercard.?

He said ?I cannot believe that fight is on the card. This is a fight that would fill the MGM Grand by itself . They don?t need this fight to sell tickets. If they put it on the same day at the Mandalay Bay, Golden Boy would have made money because both places would be filled up.?

Garcia figured that Golden Boy Promotions would make a lot of money on the Mayweather-Alvarez fight and therefore could afford to feature Garcia vs Mathysse adding ?this is good for boxing with good undercard fights.?

He said Mayweather vs Alvarez ?is a fight nobody can miss and I can?t wait for it to happen.?

The trainer said Canelo ?is a very strong, big guy and it wont be easy for Mayweather . He cannot exchange punches with Canelo, he has to outbox him? which is what he believes Mayweather will do.

Garcia disclosed that he ?had a hard time getting tickets but I booked a room at the MGM Grand. He said Nonito ?The Filipino Flash? Donaire ?invited me to watch it on a big screen at his house? and its an offer he may eventually accept.
