Another Filipino boxer has lost in a super flyweight eight round bout at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo adding to the growing list of local fighters who have been beaten in fights in Japan, Mexico and Thailand.
The Japan Boxing Commission informed the Manila Standard that Marzon Gonzales Cabilla dropped a unanimous decision to Tetsuma Hayashi, with all three judges scoring the bout for the Japanese with two judges turning in identical 79-73 scorecards and the third judge scoring it for Hayashi by an 80-72 shutout.
It was the 25 year old Hayashi?s fourth win in a row after a ten round unanimous decision loss to Takuya Kagawa on April 26, 2012. Hayashi improved his record to 22-2-1 with 7 knockouts.
On the other hand it was the fourth loss in Cabilla?s last five fights with one technical draw which pushed his record to 9-9-1 with 4 knockouts.
In his last fight Cabilla lost by an 8th round TKO to No.7 ranked minimum weight Jerson Luzarito in a clash for the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation minimum weight title on December 8 last year raising questions on how he moved up three weight divisions to fight Hayashi.
In the latest Japan Boxing Commission rankings Hayashi was rated No. 1 flyweight.
