Newly crowned IBO lightweight champion Daud Cino Yordan was set to receive a hero?s welcome when he arrives in the Indonesian capital Jakarta from Perth, Western Australia where he won the title from Argentina?s Daniel Brizuela at Metro City late Saturday night.

Yordan became the first Indonesian boxer to win two world titles having earlier won the vacant IBO featherweight title with a stunning 2nd round knockout of hard-hitting Filipino Lorenzo Villanueva at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel on May 5, 2012.

After losing the title by a 12th round TKO to South Africa?s 32 year old Simpiwe Vetyeka last April 14 in Jakarta Yordan decided to move up two divisions to face Brizuela in a fight refereed by internationally respected Angeles City based New Zealander Bruce McTavish.

Prior to leaving Perth, Yordan was honored by the Indonesian consul general Syarief Syamsuri and members of the Indonesian community for his excellent showing in winning a second world title.

The 26 year old Yordan earlier told the Jakarta Globe ?It will be history if I can win the bout. I will be the first Indonesian to win world titles in two different classes. I always have motivation and each motivation is special for me.?

It was Yordan?s first bout after losing his title to Vetyeka at Jakarta?s Tennis Indoor Senayan on April 14.
