Undefeated hard-hitting Mexican Andr?s "Jaguarcito" Gutierrez (27-0, 22 KOs) successfully retained his WBC Super Bantamweight Silver Title in a wide 12-round unanimous decision win over Filipino Rey "Flash" Perez (17-4, 3 KOs) of Santa Rosa, Laguna, on Saturday July 6 (Sunday morning in the Philippines) at General Arteaga Autorium in Santiago de Quer?taro, M?xico.

Scorecards where 120-108 (three times), reflecting the reality that Rey Perez of the Brusmick Boxing Stable did not score a single round. Instead, he limited himself to absorbing the heavy bombardment thrown at him by the aggressive, relentless 19 year-old Mexican slugger.

"Jaguarcito" Gutierrez, handled by the boxing promotion company of world champion Saul Canelo Alvarez, is the current WBC #5 Super Bantamweight and positions himself as a possible candidate to dispute the regular WBC Super Bantamweight (122 lbs) World Title in a coming future.

The current WBC Super Bantamweight World champion is fellow Mexican Victor "Vikingo" Terrazas (37-2-1, 21 KOs).

However, Terrazas is scheduled to defend his crown against another Mexican standout, 24-year-old Leo Santa Cruz (24-0-1, 14 KOs), in a Golden Boy Promotion on August 24 in Carson, California.

The Andr?s "Jaguarcito" Gutierrez-Rey Perez WBC Silver fight was a presentation of Canelo Promotions in association with Cerveza Corona and aired on Televisa
