
Malinga 118 lbs, Gabutan 117.4 lbs for IBF Eliminator in South Africa (PHOTOS)

Successful IBF weight-in ceremony today in South Africa. Filipino Dayer "Die Hard" Gabutan Singwancha of Ilocos Sur Province weighted-in 117.4 lbs (53.3kgs), while opponent Vusi ?Marvelous? Malinga of Ekurhuleni scaled 118 lbs (53.5 kgs) ahead of their IBF bantamweight eliminator at Carnival City Casino in Johannesburg, South Africa, the winner becoming IBF?s No. 1 ranked mandatory fighter in the bantamweight division.
Also, in a tough battle between hard-hitting warriors, Eduard Penerio of Cotabato City, Maguindanao, made 113.9 lbs (51.66 kgs) while lanky southpaw Zolani Tete of Eastern Cape registered 113.5 lbs (51.48 kgs) for their 8-rounder super flyweight clash.
Gabutan Singwancha and Eduard Penerio are being assisted by experienced head trainers Jove Jorda, Jhun Agrabio and matchmaker/cornerman Brico Santig of Baguio?s Highland Boxing.
