After a failed attempt to score a victory as a prize fighter two weeks ago in Manchester, popular former 2-division world champion Ricky Hatton bounces back into boxing action promoting the international "Road to Glory" card whose main event is the vacant WBC Asia Council Continental super flyweight (115 lbs) title between promising undefeated Rex Tso (7-0, 4KO's) of Hong Kong and veteran Timur Shailezov of Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday (Dec 11) at the Convention Towers and Exhibition Center in Hong Kong.
Fight referee is top international third man Bruce McTavish. Ringside judges are Brent Karaitiana of New Zealand, Ming Zhan Wu of Hong Kong and Ferdinand Estrella of the Philippines.
In the 12-rounder co-main event, undefeated Australian heavyweight Lucas Browne (12-0, 11KO's) of Perth exchanges leather with American journeyman Jason "The Sensation" Gavern (21-12-4, 10KO's) of Orlando, Florida.
In the same card, Filipino Randy Megrino (12-11-2, 7KO's) of Lanao del Norte will squares off dangerous hard-swinging Thai fighter Ekapol Yothinpanawet (12-1, 9KO's) in a non-title 6-rounder in the super lightweight division (10 st).
In addition, talented Kazakhstan fighter Zhanat Zhakiyanov (18-1, 11KO's) faces Indonesian veteran Erick Diaz Siregar (15-18-4, KO's) in an 8 rounder in the bantamweight division (8 st 6 lbs).
Also, 20-year-old Filipino rookie flyweight Roldan Bullong (1-0, 1KO) of Baguio battles Nepalese debutant Sures Gurung.
Three more fights complete the exciting international evening.
Fight supervisors for the WBC are both from Thailand: Coronel Damrong Simakajornboon and Mr. Naris Singwancha.
