
ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship draws huge field at SM Mall of Asia

Over 150 players are expected to take part in the Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) Asia-Pacific World Qualifying Trials (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) on November 3 and 4 at the SM Mall of Asia, Music Hall in Pasay City.
Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) or better known as Submission Wrestling World Championship (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) is a competition involving professional athletes who have been successful at the highest levels of jiu-jitsu, wrestling, judo, sambo, shooto and mixed martial arts. The rules of the event disallow strikes while promoting grappling and submissions.
The banner field includes KMA Mixed Martial Arts Academy, Team DEFTAC of Alvin Aguilar, founder of the popular mixed martial art tournament, URCC, New Breed Jiu-Jitsu Philippines, Submission SSP, and John Baylon Clube de Jiu-Jitsu (JBCJJ), among others.
"KMA Martial Arts Academy; Martial Arts is one of the greatest forms of Personal Development...allowing kids and adults to build a stronger body, a sharper mind and a tenacious spirit," said ADCC Asia President Stephen Kamphuis in an interview at the KMA Mixed Martial Arts Academy headquarters in Rada Regency Building, Makati City.
KMA Mixed Martial Arts Academy will spearheaded by Neil Fereira and KC Cruz for advanced category while Michael Mejia, a lawyer by profession and will compete in the beginners category. Multi-tlist Southeast Asian Games gold medalist John Baylon also competing for advanced category. The winner in the advanced Male divisions will move to 2013 ADCC World Championship.
Top competitors from Australia, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Guam, Thailand, Malaysia and Hong Kong are expected to show their wares in the event. For more information, you may go to www.bjjphilippines.com.
