Thailand's Light Flyweight World Champion Kompayak Porpramook and his tough Mexican challenger former titlist Adri?n "El Confesor" Hern?ndez performed a final public workout at the Instituto Universitario del Estado de M?xico ahead of their world title clash Saturday night (Sunday morning Philippine time) in Toluca, M?xico.
The President of the University don Mario Luis P?rez was in attendance to say thanks to both athletes for having their last sweat in front of hundreds of his students.
During the interesting sessions, both warriors looked in top shape for their much awaited rematch.
In their first fight, Kompayak (46-3, 31KO's) knocked out "El Confesor" Hern?ndez (24-2-1, 15KO's) during the rough action of round 10 in a heated combat last December at a military camp in Bangkok.
After the work out, both fighters signed autographs and took photos with students and fans.
The Kompayak-Hern?ndez title fight is important to Filipino fans as the winner of the combat could defend against Pinoy heavy puncher Jonathan Taconing (13-2-1, 10KO's).
Taconing, 25, fought the dangerous Kompayak in Thailand, losing in a controversial ending in which the Korean referee Jae-Bong Kim was later on suspended by boxing authorities for his dubious performance and hasn't officiated a boxing match since.
The boxing card billed as "Grandeza Mexiquense" will fire up the ring @ the Centro de Convenciones in the Ciudad deToluca, Estado de M?xico.
The official weight-in will be tomorrow.
