After a very long trip from Panama to Cebu, Venezuelan former WBA titlist Jean Piero P?rez has got into training mode at the ALA Gym at Banilad's Town Center in Cebu City, in preparation for his much anticipated 12-round International flyweight championship against unbeaten Filipino rising star Milan Melindo in Pinoy Pinoy XVI Venezuela Invasion at the Waterfront Hotel & Casino in Cebu, Philippines on the evening of this coming Saturday September 22.

The Venezuelan has been jumping the rope, hitting the heavy sack, doing shadow boxing, the double inball (photo) and working the mitts (photo) under the careful supervision of his experienced minders head trainer Francisco "Tolete" Arroyo and assistant/diet expert Lucio Lan Mejia.

After the hard training, the shy Jean Piero Perez, a good friend of the late Venezuelan champion Edwin Valero, scaled 118 lbs, six (6) days ahead of the official weight-in ceremony in which he will be required to make no more than 112 lbs, the limit of the flyweight division.

Jean Piero Perez continues daily running and training but this Wednesday will be special.

That day, the friendly Jean Piero will open his training camp to all fans and media to his public work out

Don't forget: SM Mall this Wednesday @ 5pm.

It's important as fans will have the chance of meeting Jean Piero in person, take photos, win fight tickets and see for yourself what are Jean Piero Perez's chances of beating the so far unstoppable Milan Melindo.

The Melindo-Perez title fight is a Pinoy Pride XVI production of the Philippines top boxing company ALA Promotions.
