Teeparith Retains WBA Super Flyweight World Title in Osaka

WBA Super Flyweight World Champion Teeparith Kokietgym of Thailand, arguably the best 115 pounder in the world, defeated by majority decision Japanese former champion Nobuo Nashiro to retain his title tonight (Sept 1) at the Sumiyoshi SportsCenter in Osaka, Japan.
Official scores were 115-114, 115-113 and 114-114 favoring the 23 year-old Teeparith Kokietgym (21-2, 13KO's) who made the successful third defense of the WBA super flyweight crown he conquered in Phetchaburi, Kingdom of Thailand in May of last year.
