KWANPICHIT 112 LBS, FERNANDO OCON, 111.4 LBS FOR THEIR WBO ORIENTAL TITLE FIGHT IN PHUKET

PATONG BEACH, Phuket - Weights OK in their first try. Filipino challenger Fernando Ocon (right) weighed-in 111.4 lbs (50.53 kgs), while his opponent, undefeated WBO Oriental flyweight champion Kwanpichit 13 Rien Express of Thailand, tipped the scale at 112 lbs (50.80 kgs) ahead of their clash tomorrow (Aug 24) at the Bangla Boxing Stadium here in Patong Beach, Phuket.

Both warriors passed with flying colors the medical check up and appeared in excellent shape, ready for battle.

Kwanpichit, 30, is currently the world's #5 flyweight by the WBO while Fernando Ocon is the reigning Philippines Boxing Federation (PBF) flyweight champion.

The 21 year-old Ocon (10-1, 2KO's) a resident of Bato, Leyte, captured the vacant PBF belt by knocking out Aroel Romasasa of Gensan last May in San Fernando, Cebu.

The Kwanpichit-Ocon WBO Oriental title fight is a presentation of Ms. Pariyakorn Ratanasuban, president of Onesongchai Boxing Promotions

The fight will be televised live on open TV in the Kingdom of Thailand on Channel 7.

Philboxing will be in ringside to photograph and report.
