TEAM MEXICO READY TO SWEEP TEAM PHILIPPINES AND SHOCK CEBU!

Three victories for Team Mexico is the goal. The three Mexican fighters facing Filipino boxers are ready to make a clean sweep tomorrow during the exciting Pinoy Pride XV Philippines vs M?xico card at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu.
The Mexicans have shown to be friendly and likable visitors, but their aim as warriors is to score three consecutive wins for Mexico over Philippines to deliver the greatest shock ever seen in the Pinoy Pride series.
"LOBITO" MONTOYA VS JASON PAGARA: THE REMATCH
In the main event, Mexico's super lightweight Rosbel "Lobito" (The Little Wolf) Montoya will attempt to score another win over ALA Gym's Jason "El Nino" Pagara. The two met last year in a fight in which Montoya won almost all rounds.
The accurate card of Cebu judge Edgar Olalo saw Montoya winning nine of the ten rounds, which was the correct assessment of the fight as "The Little Wolf" used his jab, distance and good moves to scoring precise blows delivered with speed and accuracy while Pagara failed in his attacks and was out of balance and slow.
This author who was present at ringside with the Philboxing.com team saw the fight same as judge Olalo: Montoya winning the great majority of rounds of that first rumble which was staged at the same venue, the Waterfront Hotel.
"I will use the same strategy to win. But if he (Pagara) wants it rougher, then it will be rougher. I can't believe that Pagara has improved that much. Last time after a long tiring trip and 1 pound overweight, I defeated Pagara. So why shouldn't I beat him again?"
"Pagara said that last time he had 'some problems?' Bola. That's an excuse. I am his problem. He could not solve me last year. He will not be able to solve me tomorrow. I am his problem," Montoya commented to this author with a very confident smile "Lobito" Montoya during lunch at the Filipino Cabalen Restarant at SM Cebu.
"I love Cebu and the food is great and the people are the best. But I am a fighter who came back to win," Montoya concluded.
JORGE "EL FEROZ" PAZOS VS THE UNDEFEATED GENESIS "AZUKAL" SERVANIA
The second Mexican fighting in Pinoy Pride XV, Jorge "El Feroz" (The Ferocious) Pazos, whose fiance is a medical doctor in their native Guamuchil, Sinaloa, will attempt to defeat the up and coming unbeaten Bacolod native Genesis Servania, the fighter who in his most recent outing knocked out the experienced Genaro "Poblanito" Garcia. At 120 lbs, Pazos was 2 pounds lighter than Servania who made 122 lbs., the limit of the super bantamweight division.
Will Jorge "The Ferocious" Pazos (20-3, 13KO's) destroy Genesis Servania in their clash tomorrow as the Mexican has a higher percentage of wins by knockout, or will it be the other way around Servania blowing away Pazos, same as he did to Poblanito Garcia?
"It will be me who will defeat Servania," affirmed the Mexican. I have trained well, I feel fine here in Cebu with so many Mexicans and Latino brothers supporting me.
"It's the first time that I fight out of Mexico, but I feel fine, I sleep well and eat well. My weight was perfect because I feel strong and fast. I had made good friends with 'Lobito' and Angel. We support each other emotionally and do not worry at all.
"The promotion is treating us well. We'll do our best and win," commented Jorge Pazos to Philboxing after Team Mexico prayed before lunch. The three Mexicans and their team are all devoted Catholics.
ANGEL "EL ARCANGEL" MARTINEZ VS VETERAN JIMREX JACA
Finally, it's Angel "El Arcangel" Martinez, who today weighed-in 138 lbs, the warrior who might retire for good the veteran Jimerex Jaca, a fighter who has been hanging around boxing without scoring any meaningful victory?
Probably. We'll have to see.
Jimrex Jaca, sporting a big beer belly was three pounds overweight, 143, which raises questions on his commitment towards ALA Promotions who has signed him back after Jimrex leave them a failed small Spanish promoter who had him fighting in Tabunok.
This card at the Waterfront should be Jaca's huge chance to show that he is serious about boxing. But the overweight accompanied by a silly smile and a beer belly makes fans wonder if he is focused and ready for ALA's serious boxing.
After some rush exercises Jaca made 141, but the overweight factor made fans wonder.
Miguel Lopez, a cornerman for the Mexicans commented "It's funny that Jaca brags that he fought superstar Juan Manuel Marquez. Jimrex Jaca was knocked out silly by Marquez! That defeat was 6 years ago in super bantamweights. What's the point to brag about that defeat?
In contrast, his opponent "The Arcangel" Martinez of Empalme, Sonora, eight years and taller than Jaca appeared more pro-like, lean, on weight and focused.
"It's great to be here in the Philippines. I had no idea it was so nice. I like the people, the food. The promoter ALA is having us at the Waterfront Hotel and give us tours around Cebu.
"In the streets it's easy to make friends. It's being a great experience in my life and I intend to defeat Jaca so I could come back. I am taller than him and sure I am faster than him. And his big head I think I can hit. It's gonna be a great fight. I look forward to tomorrow," said "The Arcangel".
Meanwhile, a friendly Jes?s Edmundo Gaytan, the 51-year-old veteran promoter accompanying the Mexicans commented to Philboxing during the weigh in:
"The (Mexican) kids look well. I feel so confident in the victory of the three of them. It's going to be a great show tomorrow. Get ready Cebu."
