Magpet, North Cotabato -- Mindanaoan prospect Jundy Maraon kept his unblemished record by edging Eduardo Apa-ap of Compostela Valley via a majority decision win in 8 rounds here yesterday as part of the town's 43rd Foundation Anniversary celebration.
Maraon was impressive in his last showing against the Los Angeles Wildcard-trained Ernel Fontanilla in the undercard of the Pacquiao-Larios match at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City last July 2 where he was leading on scorecards before the fight was declared a technical draw in the 2nd round due to cuts.

Maraon found a tough customer in Apa-ap who showed good reflexes and tough defense but Apa-ap had been weakend in the later rounds due to the body shots administered by the heavy-handed Maraon.
Maraon has now upped his record to 7-0-1 with 5 KOs. Apa-ap dropped to 4-3-0 win-loss-draw record.
