WBC Silver Strawweight Champion Denver Cuello-Singwangcha faced off with WBC No. 1 ranked Ganigan Lopez just recently during their fight press conference at the Casa Celaya Hotel in Celaya, Mexico.

The event was attended by an estimated audience of seven hundred composed of boxing fans and media people. Mexicans cheered for both fighters as their names were called but Denver has established his own fan base in Mexico following his sensational fights against Hernandez, Arcos and Perez whom he all slaughtered inside the ring. Mexicans call Denver the Animal and Little Pacquiao.

When it was Ganigan Lopez's turn to speak, he told the media that Cuello should not look past him because he is ranked number one while Cuello was only number two and there is a good reason why he is rated above Cuello.

In his reply Denver told the press "I don't care who is rated number one. I have my belt. I am not scared of anybody who comes across my way towards becoming a world champion. I have proven it thrice here in Mexico, Lopez will fall just like any of my victims. This fight will not last six rounds. We will see on Saturday who the real number one is."

Cuello further added that May 19 is the birthday of his manager and promoter Aljoe Jaro. "The knockout win will be my birthday gift to Kuya Aljoe. Of course it is also dedicated to my fellow Filipinos and to my family in the Philippines," Cuello told philboxing.

The Cuello versus Lopez event is being presented by Canelo Promotions through its chairman Eddy Reynoso, Jaro Promotions International through its CEO Aljoe Jaro and Boxeo de Gala through its president Dr. Fausto Garcia. Also worth mentioning is international matchmaker and manager Hector Zapari of Canelo Promotions.
