Dodie Boy Penalosa Jr. will be taking a tougher test when he faces the more experienced Alex Buckie of Indonesia who has been battle tested in 44 professional fights including a regional title bout. Penalosa's latest conquest was his one round demolition of Superjames Singmanasak last February in Caloocan City. There is no doubt that the Indon warrior will bring more to the table for the rising prospect from Cebu. Dodie Boy Jr. is looking for a ninth winning streak all by knockout in a fight to be staged in Cebu City.
Meanwhile, younger brother Dave Penalosa who recently made noise by knocking out Rey Colambot in the second round on his older brother Dodie's Caloocan fight will move a step forward when he trade leathers with Mandaue City native Junilo Salvador.
Fighting in the same event is current Philippine GAB Featherweight Champion Michel Farenas who will square off with Jayson Egera in a non-title fight.
Other match-ups shall be announced soon. Dugong Kampeon will be held on April 21, 2012 at the Mandaue City Sports Complex. The event is being promoted by GerryPens Promotions headed by legendary boxing champ Gerry Penalosa and is co-presented by GMA 7.
