Bouncing back from his recent decision loss to Drian Francisco, Michael ?Bruce Lee? Domingo wins in a fashion by knocking out veteran Marvin Tampus in 1:28 of the very first round. Most of Tampus? losses were by decision. It was his first time to be knocked out just few seconds from the opening bell.
?I trained so hard for this fight. I and my promoter had considered retirement as an option after my decision loss to Francisco. But I still love the sport and what I do. I want another chance and tonight was a God given sign. This was a test if I can still fight for a world title. We have an offer to fight Joseph Agbeko in Africa on May 26. The contest will be for the IBO Bantamweight Title. It will be a big break for me. With my win tonight, I will train like ten times harder for the Agbeko fight. We all know who he is,? Domingo told Philboxing.
Joseph Agbeko shall be Domingo?s toughest opponent. Agbeko has fought the best bantams around. He beat Darchinyan and had two very close fights with Abner Mares. He has also beaten Yonnhy Perez and knocked out Luis Alberto Perez. But Domingo has good power in both fists. And he is explosive when in his best shape.
2012 has so far been a lucky year for Pinoy boxers with the big victories of Johnriel Casimero and and Sonny Boy Jaro recently. Domingo will continue the winning streak if he brings home another world title.
