IS KONCZ A PEST TO PHILIPPINE BOXING?

He was called a thief and a traitor by Manager and Promoter Aljoe Jaro. The same Jaro filed a complaint with GAB for non-payment of his manager?s share for the last two fights of Bernabe Concepcion who at that time was under an enforceable management contract with him. He has also been reported for mistreating Pinoy Boxers in the US the like of Rodel Mayol. And now, he allegedly influenced and manipulated the replacement of Mike Farenas with his boxer Bernabe Concepcion as opponent for undefeated Mexican Boxing Star Mikey Garcia in the Salido-Lopez II undercard. He is no other than Manny Pacquiao adviser Michael Koncz.
I have always wondered why Koncz seems to be invincible despite all his infamous actions. Deep inside I think I know why he doesn?t give a damn about what the media says or writes about him. He?s got our good Congressman on his side and he seems to be holding an ace that guarantees his safety under the wings of his boss. So off to his exploits he goes never caring who he steps on or hurt along the way.
A recent article by Ronnie Nathanielsz stated Koncz?s denial that he has something to do with Concepcion in Farenas out happening. The lame reason is that Cameron Dunkin wants to protect his boxer from the possible harm in fighting the headbutting Farenas. Farenas? adviser Gerry Pe?alosa is not stupid to believe this. He has seen all fights of his prot?g? and headbutting has never been a habit of the world rated boxer from Sorsogon. There more times when it was Farenas who suffered cuts from head butts of opponents. Pe?alosa is not whining because of the money involved. He is upset because of the opportunity presented to his prot?g? which will bring Farenas closer to a world title fight.
If indeed Abe Concepcion gets the contract to fight Mikey Garcia then there are only two possibilities. First, Koncz made the deal by influencing the Garcia camp. (Koncz is very close to Uncle Bob remember?) Second, Mikey Garcia is a coward and is scared to take the risk of losing to Michael Farenas.
But the question remains my countrymen. Is Michael Koncz a pest to Philippine Boxing?
