Denver Cuello.

WBC Silver Minimumweight Champion Denver ?The Excitement? Cuello has been rated number one by the World Boxing Council next to current Minimumweight Champion Kazuto Ioka of Japan. Cuello was crowned Silver Champ after his round one annihilation of Mexican Carlos Perez in a fight staged in Chetumal Quintana Roo, Mexico.

The long awaited world championship fight for Denver will definitely come in the first quarter of 2012 according to his Trainer/Manager Aljoe Jaro. ?That world title cannot escape Cuello because he is at the top of the ratings. If Ioka can either fight Cuello in a mandatory defense, or move up in weight and relinquish the belt thus giving chance to Ganigan Lopez of Mexico or Wanheng Menayothin of Thailand to fight Cuello for the title?, Jaro stated.

Aljoe Jaro is currently in Las Vegas to attend the WBC Convention together with his mates from Canelo Promotions Hector Zapari, Eddy Reynoso and Saul ?Canelo? Alvarez himself. Negotiations for Cuello?s big fight is one of the agenda that Jaro wants to discuss in Vegas. ?Canelo Promotions plans to make it a big fight for everybody to watch. The fight can either be staged in Mexico or here in the Philippines depending on the interest of investors and sponsors. I will give an update on Denver?s next fight when I come back from Las Vegas?, added Jaro in closing.
