Milan ?Metodico? Melindo watched the Viloria vs. Segura fight for a reason. He is considering Giovanni Segura as a possible opponent. ?Of course it is ALA Promotions who decides whom I fight next. But Sir Mike (Aldeguer) always listens to us and takes into consideration who his fighter wants to fight next. After seeing Giovanni fight Brian, I see him as a possible opponent. My style fits his fighting style. I know I can beat him and it will be good for my career. I am undefeated and highly rated by all sanctioning bodies. He cannot say that I am a patsy opponent. I am not at the level of Viloria yet but I am on my way to a world title. I respect Segura as an elite fighter and that is the reason why I want to fight him. Coz I love tough challenges.?

Melindo was at ringside with Coach Edito ?Ala? Villamor and Chad Ca?ares of ALA Promotions. Milan is currently within the top 5 ranking among the four governing bodies (WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF). He is scheduled to fight on January 2011 under the Pinoy Pride XI year opener against a yet to be announced opponent. His latest victory was against tough Mexican Alejandro Rosas via a tenth round TKO victory. Milan has evolved to more complete fighter adding knockout power to his technical skills. He gives credit to ALA Strength and Conditioning Coach Pio Solon for his improvement.

Indeed a possible Segura-Melindo fight would be a thrill to watch. Knowing the capability of ALA Promotions, a good offer will surely lure Giovanni Segura to fight once again in the Philippines and in Cebu City this time.
