MANILA -- A record breaking event in the history of boxing happens this October 29, 2011 at the city coliseum of Puerto Princesa , as Mayor Edward Hagedorn hosts the 7 WBC INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE FIGHTS boxing event in parallel to his drive for the Puerto Princesa underground river to be included in the New 7 Wonders of Nature.
The underground river of Puerto Princesa has been declared as one of the Official Finalist to the New 7 Wonders of Nature. It is a source of pride and a key element in the identity of the people of Puerto Princesa in particular, and the Filipino people as a whole. No less than his Excellency, President Noynoy Aquino is calling into action all sectors and all people to support the campaign in his speech during his recent visit in the city.
