WBO world rated fighter Jessie "The Terminator" Albaracin, 26, successfully defended his WBO Oriental super bantamweight title via fifth round KO over former PABA champ Marvin Tampus Saturday night (Oct 15) at the Hoops Dome in Cebu, Philippines.

From the beginning Albaracin was the superior fighter with better boxing skills, speed and power and even though Tampus was brave and committed, it was too difficult for him to get "The Terminator" in trouble.

The battle raged on at a furious pace and it was always Albaracin who had the upper hand.

In two occasions during the action of round three, Marvin Tampus's big hooks seem to have completely missed his target and he fell heavily on the canvas by himself. Those two falls were ruled as official knockdowns.

Whether the two falls were by a slip or by a punch, it luckily had no consequence in the outcome of the fight as "The Terminator" Albaracin was already commanding the destiny of this battle and the inevitability of a KO was looming in the horizon.

In the following stanza big blows thrown by "The Terminator" sent Tampus through the ropes and almost totally out of the ring.

The brave Marvin Tampus barely beat the count, but just to continue receiving more punishment, especially from Albaracin's left hook which swollen a bit Tampus's right eye, the very same eye which Tampus got badly hurt in his last battle in Petchaburi, Thailand against world # 1 bantamweight Pungluang Sor Singyu (38-1, 26KO's).

And the beating continued relentlessly. Tampus went down two additional times in the fifth round till he was finally was counted out.

"The Terminator" Albaracin was declared winner by KO to delight of fans who hope that he will "be back."

Jessie Albaracin (15-3-3, 13KO's) is rated # 8 super bantamweight (122 lbs) by the WBO in weight class where the world champion is popular 32-year-old Mexican veteran Jorge "El Travieso" Arce (58-6-2, 45KO's).

According to Boxrec, Jorge "El Travieso" Arce is scheduled to defend his WBO world super bantamweight crown against an opponent TBA during the undercard of the blockbuster mega fight Pacquiao-Marquez III on November 12 in Las Vegas.
