?I win wars by methods. Nothing will change in the way I will beat Francisco Rosas. I shall stick to my constant game plan which is to stay focused, observe my enemy, capitalize on my strengths and advantages and exploit my opponent?s weaknesses. I humbly admit I am no knockout artist, but neither do I have cotton fists. I consider a knockout victory as a bonus in every fight.? This is what Milan ?El Metodico? Melindo told this writer about his preparation for his Saturday Night date with Mexican contender Francisco Rosas.

Pinoy Pride 8 will showcase the celebrated rivalry between Philippines and Mexico in the field of the sweet science. The main event will feature the young and undefeated Melindo against Mexico?s more experienced and battle tested Francisco Rosas for the Filipino?s WBO Inter-Continental Flyweight belt.

Rosas has fought champions in the likes of Roman Gonzales, Juan Reveco and Edgar Sosa while Melindo has beaten former champs in Carlos Tamara and Muhammad Rachman.

In the co-featured bouts, undefeated Genesis Servania of Bacolod will face Mexican Veteran Gerson Guerrero while Jason Pagara will square it off with Rosbel Montoya, another Mexican warrior. The event is brought to us by ALA Promotions and ABS-CBN Sports. The event will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011, 6PM at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and will be telecast via ABS-CN on Sunday the following day at 10:30 AM and 9:30 PM on Studio 23.
