Bohol will once again host another exciting boxing extravaganza when ALA Boxing Club's batch of up-and-coming boxing stars in the mold of Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista, Rodel Mayol and Z Gorres will be showcased on April 30, 2006 in Tagbilaran City.
Dubbed as "Stars of the Future", the event which was previously scheduled at Cebu City's Marriott Hotel, will be headed by the pride of Malabuyoc Robert "Cliff Smart" Allanic who will take on Thai bantamweight Saensak Singmanassak. Singmanassak, who has a record of 26 fights (11-13-2 6 KOs), previously fought with Filipino contenders Rey Bautista and Diosdado Gabi. The 20-year-old Allanic won 5 straight bouts after his only loss last year against Orlan Enriquez in Mandaue City and has a record of 11-1 (4 KOs) going into this fight.
Co-featured in the event is the wildly exciting Alex John Banal, who had impressed no less than Golden Boy Promotions executives Erik Gomez and Sampson Lewkowicz who were at ringside when Banal KOd in the 1st round his Thai opponent Dechapol Bankluaygym in the undercard of the Gorres-Chuwatana OPBF super flyweight championship in Mandaue City last month. The 17-year-old "Batang Ermita" AJ Banal, 5-0-1 (4 KOs), this time will take on dangerous Thai super fly Bangsaen Sithpraprom who has a reported win-loss record of 16-1 with 7 KOs. Sithpraprom's only loss was against former WBC world champion Gerry Pe?alosa for the vacant WBF Super Flyweight Crown at the Casino Filipino in Para?aque City last Nov. 27, 2004.

Other young stalwarts who will strut their wares are former Philippine amateur gold medalist Rey Caitom (5-0 2KOs) who will go up against Roel Honor of Butuan City and 2-time Palarong Pambansa gold medalist Milan Melindo (4-0 1KO) who will face Amirro Ricablanca of Davao City.
Rounding the line up are 3 former members of the Philippine Boxing Team namely Frank Albia, Lito Jalnaiz and Mark Jason Melliguen. Both Albia and Jalnaiz, who will be fighting their second professional fights, was a 2-time National Youth Open Gold Medalist and Silver Medalist in the 2001 Arafura Games in Australia respectively. Melliguen, on the other hand, is a two-time SEA games medalist from the 2003 and 2005 edition. This will be the first time Melliguen will be climbing the ring as a professional boxer.
Boholanos will again be treated with another exciting night of boxing organized by SGG Sports Promotions and co-sponsored by the City Government of Tagbilaran headed by Bohol's number one boxing enthusiast and supporter Mayor Dan Neri Lim.
