Philippine Games and Amusement Board Commissioner Alex Paglumotan has commended PhilBoxing.com for its ground-breaking effort to showcase Filipino boxing talents to the whole world via the Internet.
Commissioner Paglumotan issued the following statement:
"As a boxing fan and now official of the national agency regulating and supervising pro-boxing , I can't let the day pass without surfing the net for Philippine boxing updates. Philboxing.com is my only destination.
"Showcasing to the world the best on the ring in Philippine boxing, truly this becomes the show window for boxing afficionados all over the globe. I therefore commend the prime movers of Philboxing.com who hatched the great idea of bringing one of the greatest entertainments on earth before the very eyes of all the community of people around the world ."
PhilBoxing.com was launched three months ago in July as a natural offshoot of MannyPacquiao.ph, the highly acclaimed de facto website of Filipino boxing hero Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao has paved the way for the Filipino boxer to be noticed in the world boxing scene and has generated a lot of interest and curiousity on other Filipino fighters. PhilBoxing.com was therefore created to quench the thirst of boxing afficionados all over the world who are eager to know more about Filipino boxers and the Philippine boxing scene.
The timing may just be perfect for this Filipino boxing website to burst into the scene because there was no other time in recent past that there are so many young Filipino boxers who have great potentials to become world beaters as it is now.
It is the hope of the creators of PhilBoxing.com that it will help usher in another golden era of Philippine boxing.
