THAI PROMOTER NARIS SINGWUNGCHA: On Producing More Pinoy Boxing Champs

Naris Singwungcha is not just a top boxing promoter in Thailand. He is a real estate mogul who owns the biggest subdivisions and condominiums in his country. Despite being one of the richest people in his country, he remained humble and considers himself as ?just another boxing fan?.

Naris had always been a fight fan. He loved Muai Thai and boxing. But boxing was his real passion. After years of hard work as a real estate magnate, he thought about retiring from being the CEO of his companies and just enjoy spending his hard earned money. Boxing immediately entered his mind.

Naris started promoting boxing events in Thailand but found it hard to produce world champions because Thai Boxers were hard to market in the global boxing scene. Thai boxers were good warriors but boxing is like politics. You can only fight in Las Vegas if you have the right connections and when you have the name. In a world where only Mexicans, Americans and other Latinos were considered elite and marketable boxers, there was no room for Asian boxers to shine. Not until the reign of the Pacman.

When Manny Pacquiao rose into the pound for pound ranks by beating the most elite oppositions, the term Filipino Boxer has become a new household brand in the business. That was the right timing that Naris Singwungcha has been waiting for. Naris did not only believe in Thai boxers. He believes in Asian Boxers and Manny Pacquiao?s rose into super stardom was an opportunity for him to grab in his pursuit of producing Asian world boxing champs. Only this time, his focus would be on Pinoy Boxers.

Boxing is not business for Naris. He does not promote and manage boxers for profit. In fact he sponsors boxing fights without anything in return. The only profit he gets is the joy of seeing potential world champions in every fight card he organizes. He finds joy in seeing good fights. He is even known for giving away extra cash (on top of the purse) when he sees really good fights.

Naris co-promotes and co-manages top Pinoy prospects with Cebu?s Rex Wakee Salud , Rizal?s Aljoe Jaro and Negros Oriental?s Bong Terrania. Currently, he is constructing a boxing gym in Bayawan City. He also plans to establish a live stock and poultry farm where boxers in the stable can also work in and which can generate jobs for the locals of Bayawan City where Naris is an honorary adopted son.

?My only dream is to make world champions from my own stable and to have my name recognized in the boxing world. I don?t want to make money out of boxing. I just want the honor and glory of being the manager, promoter and father of boxing champions. Boxing is my happiness. And now I can see the realization of those dreams through Pinoy Boxers. Filipinos are great warriors. They do not know fear in the ring. Now that

Pacquiao has introduced the Filipino Boxers to the world, I shall do my part in sending these boxers into world championships.? Those were the words of Naris Singwungcha.

To you Mr. Naris, thank you for believing in the Filipino Boxers. Thank you for coming into our land not to exploit but to give more opportunities to our warriors. We wish you all the success!
