CEBU CITY -- All participants on TV fights for tomorrow's 'Hamon sa Kampeon' boxing event at the Waterfront Hotel here made their respective weights during today's official weighin at the Entertainment Plaza of SM City-Cebu.
Comebacking Rey 'Boom-Boom' Bautista, who is headlining the event, stepped in at 125.75 lbs for his first foray in the featherweight division. His opponent Marangin Marbun of Indonesia came at the 124.5 lbs. Bautista and Marbun will contest the vacant WBC International Featherweight Championship in a 12-round contest.
Czar Amonsot weighed in at 133 lbs while his opponent Jesus Muzaka Singwacha of Thailand via Congo came in at 132 lbs for their 10-round super featherweight battle.
Jason Pagara scaled at 135 lbs while Decha Kokietgym of Thailand stepped in at 137 lbs for their 10-round lightweight contest.
Mark John Yap came in at 114.75 lbs while Pramuansak Ponsuwan of Thailand weighed in at 115.5 lbs for their 10-round supefly battle.
The weighin, hosted by the indefatigable Ronnie Natanielsz, was supervised by Rolando Mendoza of Games and Amusements Board Cebu Office with the presence of GAB Chairman Eric Buhain, GAB Commissioner Angel Bautista and GAB Boxing Head Dr. Nasser Cruz.

Notes ... Rey Bautista, who was sidelined for nine months after a wrist operation and after his forgettable loss against Heriberto Ruiz in Las Vegas last November, is still very popular with the crowd as he was mobbed after the weighin with photo and autograph requests... Dyan Castillejo and the ABS-CBN boxing crew arrived in Cebu today to cover the event for Studio 23. Boxing scribe Dennis Principe, who was trapped in Baguio during the last week that he covered Pacquiao's training because of bad weather, is also in town to cover the event.
