Sultan.
Former WBF champion Dondon Sultan has had to pull out of his battle against Shannon McMahon scheduled on November 21 in Sydney.

Former Australian ?Promoter of the Year? Peter Maniatis who hosts a popular weekly TV boxing show in Sydney informed www.insidesports.ph, Standard Today and Viva Sports that Sultan injured his leg in a Pan Asian Boxing Association title fight against Shannon Taylor last October 31.

However, Maniatis said he has scheduled a couple of other Filipino boxers from the Sydney-based Dido Bohol stable who, Maniatis said, 00 ?is doing a good job training the Filipino boxers out of Sydney.?

Maniatis said 21 year old Jurland Ceniza (6-10-1, 3 KO?s) will go up against super lightweight Leigh ?Lethal? Purcell who has a record of 8 wins and 3 losses. He said this matchup ?will be interesting? as Ceniza has been in with some big names including undefeated Lenny Zappavigna who at one time sparred with Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao and William Kickett who suffered his first loss, a stunning 1st round KO to Ahmed Elomar which sparked an ugly riot among fans.

Purcell is reportedly returning to the ring after a three-year layoff following his loss in an Australian lightweight title fight against Alan Luxford when he suffered a 9th round TKO on December 9, 2005.

Maniatis said another fight where chances were ?fifty-fifty? will involve Filipino Anton Olarte (5-7-1, 0 KO?s) who battles Lincoln Stewart. (14-4-1, 12 KO?s) In a six round lightweight bout. Orlate fought world title challenger Billy Dib and last week clashed with former Commonwealth champion Jackson Asiku.

The promoter said he believes that sometime later Stewart would be a good opponent for Philippine champion Mark Jason Melligen.

The well-known promoter who has been a fairly frequent visitor to the Philippines and recently telecast an interesting four-part series on the famed ALA Gym and its fighters said although Olarte dropped Asiku in the very first round he eventually lost on points after the referee deducted two points from him for holding.

Maniatis said ?I feel I have to do justice to Filipino boxers in Australia and will not put on any mismatches. He said he had the pleasure of promoting Jun Paderna?s last fight at the Malvern stadium and feels like the Philippines ?is my second home with all my friends over there at the ALA Gym.?
