Following a dramatic weekend that saw both heavyweights overcome their final tune-up hurdles, Matchroom Boxing chairman Eddie Hearn has declared that the long-elusive mega-fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury is contractually locked in.

With both men securing stoppage victories in their respective bouts — Fury halting Mariusz Wach in Thailand and Joshua rising from two early knockdowns to knock out Kristian Prenga in Jeddah — Hearn confirmed that the Ink is dry on a legally binding agreement for the multi-million-dollar "Battle of Britain."

Contractually Locked: "Nothing Left to Negotiate"
Addressing long-standing speculation around whether the bout would once again stall in negotiation limbo, Hearn put an end to the doubts, stating that all major contractual barriers have been cleared.

"The fight is contractually secured. Both sides have signed a legally binding agreement, so from our perspective there is nothing left to negotiate," said Hearn.

While international interest from venue organizers remains high, Hearn stressed that the fight's location will ultimately require the blessing of Joshua and his team.

"The fight will only leave England if Anthony Joshua and I agree to it. As things stand, the agreement is already in place."

With target dates hovering around November 2026, potential hosts include Wembley Stadium in London, Saudi Arabia, and Las Vegas.

The Mind Games Begin: Hearn Drops 'The Landlord' Spoof
With the contracts signed, Hearn kicked off the promotional psychological warfare by publishing an AI-generated video titled "The Landlord" across social media platforms.

The lighthearted clip pokes fun at the decade-long chase to get Fury into the ring with Joshua:

The Setup: Joshua is depicted as a stern landlord arriving at Fury’s house to collect overdue rent.

The Exchange: Upon arrival, a caricatured Fury opens an upstairs window and unleashes a frantic verbal barrage at his caller.

The Punchline: A frustrated Joshua walks off, declaring that he has been "chasing Fury for 10 years" to finally settle their score in the ring.

The Road Ahead
The formal, official announcement regarding the specific date, broadcast partners, and venue host is expected in the coming days. After years of promotional squabbles, failed purse splits, and rival network disputes, two of modern heavyweight boxing's biggest names are finally set to square off in late 2026.
