Pinay pool master Chezka Centeno is focused on retaining her title when the 2026 Banca del Fucino WPA Women's 10-Ball Championship gets underway on July 31 to August 6, 2026 at the Rome Cavelieri, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Rome Italy .

It shall be recalled that Centeno defeated compatriot Rubilen Amit, 3-2 (4-1,2-4,4-2,3-4,4-2) in five sets, to capture the Women's World 10-Ball Championship held in Bali, Indonesia-her second world title , after first winning it in 2023 in Klagenfurt, Austria.

"I really want to defend my title," said Centeno, fondly called 'The Flash' in the world of pool, who hails from Zamboanga City.

She started playing billiards at five years old and her potential was discovered at age eight when she played in local tournaments in the family's hometown, Zamboanga City.

At the age of 11, she entered the Philippine National Games and finished third. When she was 12, she was invited to the Kremlin Cup in Russia and finished in the top 32. After being recruited into the national team, Centeno participated at the 2014 Asian Junior Championship and won 1st place under the girls' single category.
She later won the nine-ball women's single at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games, facing Amit in the final.

Meanwhile, up for grabs in this $200,000 total pot prizes 2026 Banca del Fucino WPA Women's 10-Ball tournament with the champion getting the lion share of $60,000.
