Santa Monica, CA — The highly anticipated Butterfly Brawl is officially back, and registration is now open for fighters looking to compete on one of the most unique and iconic stages in combat sports—the Santa Monica Pier. Scheduled for August 22, 2026, this year’s event promises to be bigger, more electrifying, and more impactful than ever before.

Originally launched in 2017 as the “Butterfly Ball,” the event was created to honor the life of Yassy Hosseini and support charitable causes. In its early years, the event benefited organizations such as City of Hope. As the event has evolved into the Butterfly Brawl, it now proudly supports the American Cancer Society as its official beneficiary for 2026.

Over the years, the Butterfly Brawl has become a unique fusion of elite boxing and world-class entertainment, featuring unforgettable performances from global superstars including The Black Eyed Peas, Snoop Dogg, Anderson .Paak, Jermaine Dupri, and Mixmaster Mike of the Beastie Boys. While this year’s musical talent has yet to be announced, expectations remain high given the event’s history of top-tier performances.

The 2026 Butterfly Brawl will once again reach a wide audience through streaming distribution across platforms operated by NBC and Telemundo, continuing the momentum from last year’s successful broadcast presence.

Fighters from across the country are encouraged to register now for a chance to compete under the lights at one of the most scenic venues in sports. All fighters must be registered at Fightbook.com to be considered. Fightbook is a free platform designed to connect everyone in combat sports—fighters, promoters, managers, and matchmakers—streamlining opportunities and making it easier than ever to get matched and compete.

Mark Habibi, Founder and President of Fightbook, expressed his excitement about the event’s return:

“We’re thrilled to bring the Butterfly Brawl back to the Santa Monica Pier. This event continues to grow every year, and 2026 is going to be our biggest one yet. The energy, the support from the city, and the platform we’re building for fighters is truly special. I can’t wait to run this back again.”

In addition to fighters, the Butterfly Brawl is actively seeking corporate sponsors and partners to be part of this high-profile event. With strong digital distribution and a vibrant live audience, the Butterfly Brawl offers a powerful platform for brands looking to align with sports, entertainment, and community impact.

With the full backing of the local community and a proven track record of success, the Butterfly Brawl is set to deliver an unforgettable night of action, music, and purpose.

Registration is now open. Fighters, sponsors, and partners are encouraged to secure their place early for this one-of-a-kind event.
