FIDE Master Ivan Travis Cu gains a total of 36 rating points, bringing his FIDE rating to 2321 by May after completing 2 chess tournaments in Spain

FIDE Master (FM) Ivan Travis Cu, has successfully concluded his participation in 2 FIDE standard tournaments this April. These tournaments are:

X Open Internacional Semana Santa San Vicente del Raspeig in Alicante Spain, from April 1 to 6, 2026
- starting rank: 121, final rank: 68, performance rating: 2286 with 5 wins, 2 draws, 2 losses

V Open Chess Menorca, in Menorca Spain, from April 7 to 12, 2026
- Starting rank: 148, final rank: 107, performance rating: 2417 with 2 wins, 6 draws, 1 loss

From his participation, he gained a total of 36 rating points, bringing his FIDE rating to 2321 by May. Moreover, he had faced off with 8 IMs and 2 GMs, elevating his gameplay and gaining important experience in the process.

Ivan’s participation in these crucial tournaments will not have been possible with the support of Go For Gold PH and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

The key factor of Ivan's Euro campaign is Chess Coach International Master Jan Emmanuel "Jem' Garcia who helped the former ( Ivan) preparation and supervised the training.
