Taduran unleashed his power to knock out Mexican Pérez in Temecula, California.

Filipino Pedro “El Heneral” Taduran gave a beating to Mexican Gustavo Pérez to defend his Minimum title of the International Boxing Federation for the third time.

The IBF World Minimum Champion Pedro Taduran displayed all his power and strength, knocking out Mexican challenger Gustavo Pérez in seven rounds on Friday night in the main event of a card organized by boxing legend Manny Pacquiao and his company MPP, at the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California.

Taduran left no doubt about his victory. He gave Pérez a beating, sending him to the canvas four times en route to a TKO victory at 1:34 seconds of the 7th round.

Pérez had a good start. In a duel of left-handers, he won the first two rounds with speed and consistent hitting against the World Champion, who made adjustments during the break. And the adjustments worked. Taduran began landing with more power and precision in the 3rd round. And in the fourth, the total breakdown of the fight occurred when “El Heneral” sent Pérez to the canvas twice with hard body shots.

Taduran pressed hard in the 5th looking for the knockout but didn't rush, and in the 6th, he sent the Mexican down again with more hard body shots. In the seventh, Taduran continued his relentless attacks, hitting even harder to the body, landing harshly and crushingly for a 4th knockdown.

The brave Pérez got up and tried to continue, but referee Thomas Taylor decided that it was enough punishment what Pérez had received.

Importantly, Pedro Taduran made his 3rd defense of the IBF 105-lbs title, improving his record to 20-4-1, with 14 KOs, while Pérez fell to 16-2, with 5 wins by knockout.

Congratulations to “El Heneral” Taduran from Philboxing 🇵🇭👍
